Acorn welcomes Dinton CofE Primary School to the Trust family
Back
Dinton Church of England Primary School is the latest school to join Acorn Education Trust.
The transfer, completed on Friday 1st December, makes Dinton the 15th primary school to become part of Trust, since its formation in 2014.
The school looks after 71 pupils from Dinton and the surrounding villages and has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted since March 2010. Their last short inspection took place in January 2019.
Andrew Howard, Headteacher at Dinton, commented: “I am delighted that we have joined Acorn Education Trust. Being part of the Acorn family will open many doors for our school community and support our commitment to providing all pupils with learning opportunities and challenges that allow them to reach their full potential.
“It was important for the whole team at Dinton to join a Trust that aligned with both our vision and Christian values. With Acorn’s passion for creating lifelong learners and focus on continuous improvement, I am confident that the Trust is the perfect fit for us and will strengthen the already high standard of teaching and learning that we provide.
“Our whole school community is very excited about the future and continuing to work closely with colleagues across our new Trust family, as we have been for the last year or so.”

Max Burr, Executive Headteacher at Acorn Education Trust, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Dinton CofE Primary School to our family of schools.
“As with any school that joins Acorn, Dinton brings new ideas and areas of expertise that will strengthen and develop our existing network; in particular our Small Schools Hub which focuses on collaboration and sharing best practice among our village schools.
“The team at Dinton share Acorn’s commitment to providing excellent education and being at the heart of their local community, which we see as essential for all our settings’ growth and development. I look forward to seeing the school continue to flourish and grow with our support”
