Acorn Education Trust Site Team has been extremely busy over the last few months working on a variety of projects in schools across the trust. Successful CIF (Condition Improvement Fund) bids provided funding for the following:

Kingdown School – CIF funding = £777,187.00

The elderly mobile classrooms at Kingdown School have finally been replaced with a wonderful new building housing four maths classrooms.  The building was handed over to the school on 21/9 and will be open to the students in the next couple of weeks.  For Sara Edwards, CEO, it is the realisation of a long held ambition to replace the mobiles.

Roofing has also been upgraded in several areas of the school.

New Close Primary School – CIF funding = £187,377.00

The kitchen has had a complete refurbishment providing an improved work space and state of the art equipment.  Plans for the future include use of the kitchen to provide a catering service to local businesses and individuals.

Dilton Marsh Primary School – CIF funding = £42,807.00

Pupils returned from the summer break to a superb new playground.  They can now enjoy a new safe surface and play equipment.

Fire doors have been replaced in the school building.

Keevil C of E Primary Academy – CIF funding = £28,230.00

The school hall now has been redecorated and the floor replaced giving a completely new bright and airy feel to the space.

The Avenue Primary School – CIF funding = £23,807.00

Fencing around the site has been replaced improving security.
